Jerry H· 4 months ago(Review for a visit 01/2026): Enjoyed a really nice brunch here. The restaurant is spacious with good service. Everything was delicious. Get the scallion pancakes or anything with scallions pancakes, they do some of the best around. Their buns are sooo good and the egg drop noodle soup with dumplings was fantastic. You can jump across the street to their bakery after for something fun. Hope to return a try more of the menu.
Syed Ashrafulla· 4 months agoThe scallion pancake egg and cheese sandwich are well-reviewed at this point but I'll reiterate my own high points. The egg is soft and thus creamy to work with the meat. The cheese has good pull and adds a nice bit of salt. The pancake itself is excellently oniony and chewy and not too flaky. So the layers are there but the sandwich is held together really well, elastic without being tough. My surprise was the pea shoots. A cold side of shoots, beans, and tofu skin, the leaves are lightly seasoned to remove any bitterness and leave a soft calming vegetal taste. This goes so well as a snack against the sandwich, providing a refreshing contrast without the acidity common in say pickle sides. Highly highly recommend the pea shoots. Also shout out to the staff who keep the cafe humming with low volume. It's not loud in there, and everyone is quite respectful. Thanks for a wonderful late lunch.
summer· 5 months agothey nail it every single time!!! in order of the pictures, i've tried the tian miantuan, beef roll, fried eggplant, big chicken bun, and lu rou fan (first time i tried this it was a large plate but second time it was a small plate. great either way) the 10/10 CHEFS KISS dishes were beef roll, lu rou fan, AND THE TIAN MIANTUAN!!! seriously, don't skip out on the dessert. lu rou fan has the perfect texture of the rice and richness of the meat. i could eat BOWLS of this. and the beef roll omg it's kinda like philly cheesesteak wrapped in scallion pancakes. it tastes better than it sounds. and the cucumbers and herbs on top just make it so much better and fresher. the fried eggplant i wasn't a big fan of. i think i've had better eggplant dishes where the eggplant wasn't dry and had better flavors. the chicken bun is also very very good, but i think it's less unique compared to their other dishes.
Symone Powell· 6 months agoEnjoyed my time here for my partner’s birthday. Everything was really good. The cucumbers (not photographed) were our favorite. We also ordered chicken wontons which we had hoped came with more for the $24 price point. But honestly everything was fantastic. Service was quick and everyone was attentive.
Emma Davis· 3 months agoTaiwanese classics with a twist! Waited about 15 minutes for a table for two on a Tuesday at 7:30pm - would probably recommend making a reservation next time. Dishes are served as small plates (portions are on the smaller side) so I'd recommend going in a group, ordering multiple dishes, and sharing everything family style. We got the fried eggplant and the "fly's head" (stir-fried fatty pork.) Service is neither fast nor slow so this seems like a good place to have a leisurely meal with friends. Indoor seating as well as outdoor on the sidewalk available.
