Viviane C.· 3 months agoBest Iced Latte I had in NY. I’ve tried the hot and cold salmon Bagel, which was good too, but not 100% my taste. Staff is kind and the shop is always busy. I wish ive tried more of their pickled ingredients and other sandwiches but I was just visiting. Don’t miss their garden behind the store! Great place to eat and rest. Also they have a great selection of items on their mini store shelf! Aloha!
Sydney Georgiades· 3 months agoI have tried almost all the highly regarded bagels in NYC and Gertie’s is now in my top 5. My everything bagel had the most seedy crust I’ve seen in a while and it was so fluffy with the perfect hint of sweetness. Their sandwiches all sound so amazing and unique and the latkes were given an A+ by me and my Jewish friend. I tried the Yenta’s Bagel which is whitefish, schmear and pickled peppers. Outstanding and perfect ratios. I also loved the outdoor backyard. So relaxing. I will def be back to try the chicken schnitzel and chocolate babka.
Heidi Liou· 7 months agoCute and trendy sandwich and bagel shop / bakery. Love the backyard patio, so much seating and there’s one fire place! There is limited indoor seating, and a bathroom too. The cornbread is fireeee, I had some of Brett’s. The chocolate babka looked fantastic, I’ll try that next time. It was very busy on Saturday around noon, I waited about 15min for my everything bagel with normal schmear ($5.44).
Lisa-Mai D.· 5 months agoWe left a bit disappointed. We came for bagels but ended up with sandwiches that were pretty average. Paying $55 for two sandwiches and latkes felt overpriced, even for NYC. We also waited over 20 minutes, which seemed long for such simple items. Maybe we just picked the wrong thing on the menu, but overall it didn’t quite live up to what we expected. The patio behind the restaurant is a really nice spot tho.
Yasmin Fathi· 5 months agoFresh delicious bagels, I stayed 15 mins in line and paid $17 for a bialy, everything in this place is over priced but very delicious
