teresa sarmiento· 4 months agoMy partner and I got married at River Café on June 7, 2026, and we truly cannot say enough good things about our experience. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The level of service, attention to detail, and care that went into bringing our vision to life exceeded all of our expectations. Every member of the team was incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. We especially want to recognize Destiny, the day-of coordinator. She was an absolute joy to work with and one of the best vendors we had throughout the entire wedding process. Not only is she incredibly kind, but she is also organized, responsive, thoughtful, and exceptionally good at what she does. Having her by our side made the entire experience feel seamless and stress-free. She truly went above and beyond, and we are so grateful for everything she did for us. River Café is a truly magical place to get married, and the people behind it are what make it so special. The setting is stunning, the service is impeccable, and the team and specially Destiny makes you feel completely cared for every step of the way. We’ve also dined at River Café outside of our wedding and can confidently say it’s a wonderful restaurant in its own right. But if you’re considering it as a wedding venue, don’t hesitate for a second. We would choose it again in a heartbeat.🥹🤍
Daniela mhardin· 3 months agoI went to The River Cafe with a friend while in NYC and had a great time. The view of the River is beautiful and we had a gorgeous sunset. I will say that they had very predictable options to be a Michelin Star Restaurant, but for the most part the meal was great. We had great service and had to return the mashed potatoes that came with my friend’s dish due to being a bit too salty for our taste.. but, they brought us the most perfect French fries I have ever had. So kudos to the chef for providing such a great substitute. I would definitely recommend this spot for date night or a special celebration while in NYC.
Amanda Briggs· 5 months agoOur team has had the opportunity to work several weddings at The River Café, and every single experience has been exceptional. Beyond the obvious beauty of the venue and views, we are always blown away by not only the incredible food, but the level of hospitality and service provided throughout the entire experience. Allison and Destiny are wonderful to work with during the planning process. Their communication is excellent, they are incredibly accommodating, and they are always willing to answer questions, offer guidance, and help ensure everything runs smoothly leading up to the wedding day. As a planner, having a venue team that is collaborative and responsive makes such a difference, especially for complex events. On the wedding day itself, the staff consistently goes above and beyond for both the couple and their guests. I do have to give a special shout out to King, who has truly made an impression every time we have worked together. He has a way of making everyone feel like they are the most important person in the room, and his personality embodies exactly what hospitality should feel like. Warm, attentive, genuine, and effortless. I cannot recommend The River Café enough for couples looking for a wedding venue with exceptional food, stunning views, and a team that genuinely cares about the guest experience from start to finish. chad howell· 2 months agoThe view is absolutely worth it and is probably what drives people to frequently dine here. The appetizers we chose were unique. The Agnolotti was absolutely amazing. The Wagyu Steak Tartare was mediocre. Our main course choices were: char grilled Niman Ranch strip which had a great char but had several gristle spots which with price in mind is disappointing. The Russet potatoes were excellent!! The Black Sea Bass was a great choice all around. Both had great presentation. Desert we had Raspberry Soufflé which I would recommend and Chocolate Brooklyn Bridge which I would not recommend. The presentation is awesome but the cake portion is less than desirable. So presentations were 10/10 Staffing and attention to detail (timing, cleaning off table between meals, refilling water, courtesy) 10/10 View 10/10 Food was not as expected for price and quality 5/10 Drinks were pricey at $22 but were all very good 6/10 Wait times between meals 5/10 Wait time after finishing for the check 1/10 (30 minutes after we were done)
Manik Kumar· 9 months agoDining at The River Café is truly about the experience. We had the three-course meal, and the overall presentation was elegant. The environment was very cozy and romantic, with beautiful views under the Brooklyn Bridge, and the staff was nice, attentive, and amazing throughout. While the courses were well presented, the desserts felt quite costly and didn’t fully meet expectations for a Michelin-level experience, as the flavors were a bit bland. I’d recommend visiting in the summer if you want to fully enjoy the atmosphere and surroundings. Overall, it’s a memorable place mainly for the setting and service.
