Sulin Chung· 3 months agoRustic wine bar vibes with outdoor seating and dog friendly! The most amazing salad that is so difficult to replicate-- trust us, we have tried and failed! So we have no choice to come here trekking from the Hudson valley just for some of this salad! The pastas are the most humble looking dishes btw-- No frills, and usually just one homogenous color in a bowl, but they are absolute Italian delights every single time.
Cottrell Hill· 8 months agoVery small location and it's communal seating, but the food was great. Started with the Chef choice for the appetizer, good cheese, and pickled veggies. Then I ordered the Chicken over arugula and mushrooms. Great taste and good seasoning om the chicken. Just know the place is crowded but is still worth going for Dinner.
XT· 10 months agoThis restaurant has a nice, intimate vibe inside. There’s a large table in the middle of the restaurant that’s shared between different parties, and the surrounding tables are fairly close together as well. We even saw some traffic jams of people waiting to be seated and others trying to leave. If this doesn’t bother you then you’ll probably feel nice and cozy. The food was good. The escarole salad might be the highlight here, with the sweet potatoes coming in at second. The rigatoni and chicken was enjoyable as well. The only miss was the broccoli. The sauce included sits on the bottom of the plate, so you kind of have to eat a bit of dry broccoli without much flavor to get there. And when you do get there, it’s not really enough. Overall a good restaurant to try out a few times as they rotate their menu seasonally (I was told)
Theodorablecitydood Approved· 5 months agoIf you’ve got a dog and this isn’t on your list… we need to talk. 🐾🍽️ Rucola is a great spot for dog-friendly outdoor dining in Boerum Hill. I was immediately taken care of—the staff are genuinely nice and attentive (they even brought me a water bowl without asking). Cozy, relaxed setup and perfect if you’re out with your human. My human ordered the smoked salmon (everything bagel, capers, red onion, cream cheese, dill)… I secured a side of bacon. As expected. 🐾
Mariya Proyss· a year agoA cozy neighborhood Italian spot with a warm, rustic charm. The pastas are fresh and beautifully simple, the burrata is a standout, and the cocktails are well-balanced. It’s usually busy, but the atmosphere feels intimate and genuine. Perfect for a relaxed dinner with friends or a quiet date night!
