What kind of place serves oxtail stew without the STEW? Absolutely no sauce. Fat and bones instead of any real meat. Absolute waste of money. I couldn’t eat anything on the place. Jerk chicken was spiced well but they didn’t give me one of my sides. Doubles were dry and not good. I didn’t realize you had to separately ask for tamarind sauce. I should have read the reviews. This place is garbage.

I am extremely concerned about the food quality and food safety practices at Gloria's. On May 29 at approximately 8:43 PM, I ordered a chicken roti. Immediately upon receiving it, I noticed the roti was soggy and the potatoes had an unusual odor. After taking a few bites of the roti skin and chicken, I opened the roti further and discovered that the curry chicken and potatoes were noticeably sour. Food containing chicken should never have a sour smell or taste, and this raised serious concerns about spoilage. The following day, May 30, I became severely ill, experiencing persistent vomiting and diarrhea throughout the day. I have been unable to keep food or fluids down and have felt weak, dizzy, and unable to stand for extended periods without feeling faint. If my condition continues, I will need to seek emergency medical attention. What is most troubling is that the sour odor was obvious. It is difficult to believe that whoever prepared the meal did not notice it before serving it to a customer. Selling food that appears spoiled presents a serious health risk and could have severe consequences. Unfortunately, this experience reflects a significant decline in both the food quality and service that Gloria's once provided. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had, and I feel obligated to warn others about my experience. I strongly urge management to investigate their food handling and quality control procedures before someone else becomes seriously ill.

Stopped in because it was one of Anthony Bourdain’s favorite NYC spots and it was a flavorful Caribbean delight. Had the Roti and a slice of the Devine pistachio cake. Cash only and there is an ATM inside. Limited seating so plan to take away

The best. Shrimp pumpkin roti with sweet spicy tamarind sauce, unbeatable. And so much perfectly delicious food for an amazing price. I will always come here.

Based on recommendation I expected better. The curry conch dinner was good, the conch soft. The curry fish dinner was dry but not bad, had some bones. Goat roti had tons of big chunks of bones and lots of (chickpea flour?) granules in the folds, which made for odd chalky mouth feel. Sorrel is cherry flavored pure sugar in liquid form. Most customers wear a mask inside.
