Phenomenal institution. Went to the ER, pleasant staff, fantastic service, from the staff at the desk, to the nurses, to the doctors, all are clearly very competent. Even the nurse that was being trained. Kind folks. There were also other patients who clearly had behavioral issues and they were still patient while the patients in question were deliberately giving them a difficult time.

The staff in this hospital have no respect for patients The Doctors are very respectful but the nurses hate their jobs, they really don’t care for the patients. I waited 2 hours to get medications everyday while I was admitted. Never again will go to that hospital. Every nurse is nasty

This hospital always comes through for me with fast and reliable service and extra care. Downstate will always be our first choice when it comes too emergencies

I took my mother to the emergency room for severe pain in her lower extremities. I have to admit that the customer service and attention my mother received were exceptional for an emergency room. Nurse Mckenzie was attentive to my mother's needs,very prompt with giving her the ordered medications, very friendly. The resident who saw my mom Paolo, if only all physicians were as humble and attentive as he was with her. He took his time to listen to my mother's issues, took the time to take her history, he explained everything in detail and most of all he checked on her often and also provided feedback as far as next steps being taken. I was really impressed with service.

On Thursday 5/15/25 in the latter half of the afternoon. I was well taken care of by the administration staff and medical staff. My lip on the left hand side of my inner lip was sewn up with stitches that dissolve on their own. This had to be done, because I was assaulted by a crazy man at the B49 bus stop, on the block of Bedford Avenue off of Church Avenue, here in Brooklyn, New York.
