On Etsy, the huge variety of vendors and merchandise varies greatly. Buyers have to choose wisely. But when something on an order goes wrong, Etsy Support ultimately will step in to resolve. I ordered a pair of sterling and turquoise huggy earrings from a maker who is overseas. They looked lovely on arrival - but were made wrong, with the earring post in the back (and impossible to maneuver through the ear to the front and then to lock into place with a mechanism too tight to lock)l I messaged the jeweler who said it must be an "artisan" error. He offered to refund IF I sent the earrings back - with veyr expensive overseas shipping essentially wiping out most of the refund; I asked for a postage paid shipping label given this was his mistake to make right. Then suddenly and in subsequent messages, he reversed, said no defect in the earrings, and he would refund IF I sent them back. At an impasse due to a basically dishonest jeweler not willing to take respsponsibilty, I opened a case with Etsy Support. Within minutes, Etsy issued a full refund. Kudos to Etsy for being responsive and doing the right thing.

I ordered Nowruz decor eggs through Edsy from Mitra Art Gallery. I received them on time. They are really beautiful and pieces of art; I love them and am excited to use them to decorate my Haftseen this year!

I was just auditing my back account for April and May 2026. On April 19, 2026 I orders several Custom Bible Verses totaling $254.77. Order # 4037659701. This was withdrawn from my bank account on April 19, 2026 in the amount of $254.77. On May 9, 2026 my bank account had a withdrawal from Etsy in the amount of $198.21. In reviewing my account I do not have a purchase on May 9th for any product. However this amount does relate back to the April 19th order #403765901 Shop Discount of $198.21. Why was my account charged $198.21 when no purchase was made? I want a refund in the amount of $198.21. Why was I charged? Someone need to respond to me

I purchased a gift on Etsy and waited patiently for its delivery. With world circumstances I was not surprised that it was delayed. I later found it had been shipped and the post office reports it was delivered. When I reached out to Etsy I was told that I only had 30 days from the “expected delivery date” in which to file a claim. How was I supposed to know the expected delivery date?

If you're using guest checkout, then do not pay directly with your credit card. Use PayPal or the other payment options. Guests cannot contact sellers for any issue (unless you reply to the seller's email via Etsy [that's if the seller sends you an email first], or go to the seller's website directly), or contact Etsy for any buyer's protection, go track shipping of a purchased item. If you create an account after buying as a guest (even to use purchase protection because the email links direct you to log in), then your purchase history will not show up. So if Etsy only backs buyers with Etsy accounts, then if you choose to buy as a guest, then be sure to choose a payment method with built-in purchase protections.
